Marie Sklodowska-Curie Actions Program
Marina graduated in Food Technology and Human Nutrition in 2010 from the Univerist谩 degli Studi di Milano, in Italy, and completed a MSc in Nutrition and Health at Wageningen University (NL) in 2013. She joined the Department of Medicine of the University of Cambridge (UK) in 2015 as research assistant and became a Registered Associate Nutritionist with the UK Association for Nutrition. She holds a PhD in Research Related to Biological Sciences from the University of East Anglia, in Norwich (UK). She carried out her doctoral project on the physicochemical characteristics and glycaemic impact of a novel type of wheat at the Quadram Institute Bioscience, in Norwich, completing it in 2021. After completing her PhD, she continued as postdoc at the Quadram Institute Bioscience. She carried out several clinical studies on the glycaemic impact of novel starch-based foods and has experience in food development and in vitro digestion models. In 2023, she was awarded a Marie Sk艂odowska-Curie Actions Postdoctoral Fellowship to study the effects of bioactive compounds on glycaemia and join the Polyphenol Research Group at the University of Barcelona.
