Visit to the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA)

Last Monday, November 24th, we visited the Institute of Agrifood Research and Technology (IRTA) of Mas Bové, located in Constantí, Tarragona. 🌿

The Polyphenol Research Group team visited the IRTA–Mas Bové facilities and learned first-hand about their research lines on nuts and olive oil.

The IRTA team, led by Antonia Ninot and Agustí Romero, showed us the entire process of obtaining olive oil—from the olives to the final tasting—allowing us to enjoy a highly enriching and sensory experience. We also walked through the olive plantations and discovered the specific characteristics of different varieties such as Arbequina and Empeltre, among others.

A unique experience that brings us closer to the world of polyphenols and their importance in the quality and properties of our foods. 🌱✨
