Study describes beneficial effects of peanut consumption on vascular health in young, healthy individuals

According to a study published in the Antioxidants journal and led by the professor at the University of Barcelona, Rosa M. Lamuela, the consumption of peanuts and peanut butter could have beneficial effects on vascular health in young and healthy individuals. Peanuts are obtained from the leguminous plant Arachis hypogaea and, from a nutritional standpoint, they are considered as nuts. They are the most widely consumed nuts in the world, thanks to their high content of fatty acids, proteins, fiber, and polyphenols. In addition to being a practical and accessible snack, they are nutrient-rich and contribute to a healthy lifestyle.
